- European Travel Commission - an useful source of statistics on international travel in Europe and worldwide.
- New Media Trend Watch - developed by the European Travel Commission, this website accumulates knowledge from multiple sources, in order to reveal the impact of modern electronic media on the travel industry.
Music
- Jazz FM on-line radio - a really nice UK based radio with on-line broadcasting capabilities. They used to have a top notch library of records of already broadcasted shows, but unfortunately this feature seems to be unavailable now. Anyway their website remains a nice place to visit. My favourite show was Mike Chadwick's "The Cutting Edge".
- All About Jazz - an extremely verbose source of everything related to jazz music.
- Varna Summer Jazz Festival - my top priority event in Varna. I've been visiting all concerts since the 2007 edition. The festival brings together performers, styles and scents from all over the world.
- Jazz+ festival - an event with ambitious hosts. During the 2009 edition they brought together Nguyen Le and Trilok Gortu, for a couple of consecutive concerts in Sofia, which I had the chance to visit. Since then, I've been looking forward the festival's next edition.
Photography
- Photo Forums - Photo Cult is a Bulgarian forum offering rich galleries, as well as photography resources, such as articles and product reviews. Another similar website is Photo Forum, and it is also my favourite. You can also check Photography.com, which is more resource based, and photo.net, which is more comunity orientated.

Literature
- Victor Pelevin - a contemporary Russian author with an amazing approach to the story line, and unique interpretation of modern reality. A highly recommended work is the novel called Generation “П”. Pelevin's official website contains full texts of essays and short stories, together with excerpts of his novels. The author's works have been translated to multiple languages, which is a good hint if you can't read the on-line publications in Russian.
- Cuck Palahniuk - a favorite writer of mine, mostly known with the novel Fight Club which has a screen versions from 1999. As I have a strong preference for books instead of movies (at least with this author), I strongly recommend all Chuck's novels.
Web design
- HTML Templates - there are many websites providing the possibility to download a free layout design for your own page. The one I find most attractive is www.freelayouts.com. It was there, where I found the template for MINDcOLLISION.net. It is important to know that all designs are disdributed under the Creative Commons license.
- Code Tutorials - the following might prove useful in case you are enthusiastic enough, to start building your own website. HTML code tutorial and w3schools.com offer a rich resource base regarding basic and advanced hypertext codes, XHTML, CSS, and applet code composition. A company called Visibone offers a large variety of printed issues, addressed to web designers, combining knowledge on multiple aspects, including HTML colour codes. They have an on-line colour lab (the best I managed to find so far) on their website, which allows you to compare combinations of colours, and see the exact colour codes.
- Effect Codes - if you're willing to create a stunning website, you are going to need some good looking, and in the same time descrete effects. Apycom software offers a multiple examples of horisontal and vertical menus. All menu codes are distributed free of charge. Downloads include several exemplary codes for each menu, together with installation and modification instructions. Based on the same model, Javabase and effectscode.com have a variety of effect codes for navigation menus, images and photo slideshows.
